The California state fire marshal’s office mandates frequency though title 19 of the California administrative code. Regulation # 4 applies to all buildings within the city of Los Angeles. The uniform fire code and standard is the guide for local requirements. Insurance companies, such as Factory Mutual may establish further criteria.
